Brownies are girls aged 7 to 10. Once a girl joins they get to experience a world of exciting challenges and the opportunity to try new things and to make brilliant friends.
The programme includes a variety of activities; games, crafts, badge work, laughter and other activities. All these will challenge them to do their best, work with others, learn new life skills and have fun.
Brownies are encouraged to develop leadership skills and work in groups called Sixes with a leader called a Sixer, assisted by their Second. They also help to choose what they do each term, furthering these leadship skills.

14th Coulsdon Brownies is located in the Croydon County. Our leaders are Eagle Owl, Tawny Owl , Snowy Owl and Chocolate Owl and we have two young leaders called Little Owl and Elf Owl. They help make sure that our weekly meetings are always fun and different.
We have a very adventurous spirit. We love to try new things, from nights out to crafts as well as serving our community. In addition to weekly meetings there are regular opportunities to take part in special activities and events at the weekend and in the school holidays. Recently we’ve had some fun themed days out as well as weekends away at Frylands Wood, Wilberforce and Radcliffe where we have tried new activities such as Archery, Assault Course, Cooking, Crafts and Stargazing!
Every Brownie who joins the unit will get a Becoming a Brownie booklet which will be followed by a badge book on payment of joining fee. Should you need an additional copy of the Becoming a Brownie Booklet please find it below.
